This is Jody Suski's second year hunting with us. He got the 52” after 4 nights nights sleeping under the stars and waking up with frost on his sleeping bag. Great job Jody.

Happy Birthday Conner!
This is Slim's Woods' great grandson Conner on his first trip to Slim's Cabins. He went out to Tomahawk Lake Outpost cabin in his Uncle Jim's plane where he caught his first ever walleye.....and what a great catch. Well done Conner. Conner turns 5 today and all his family here at Slim's Cabins wants to wish him a great birthday.

Thank you for another wonderful week of fishing. Each year, the week of fishing goes by way to fast. For five of the last six years, various members of our group have enjoyed Slim's Cabins and fishing on the Churchill River . This year was no different. We stayed at Slim's from June 10th through June 16th.
Below are a couple of pictures from our recent fishing trip to Slim's.

Happy New Year to all. 2005 was a great year for everyone at Slim's Cabins. We had a little ice on the river to start the fishing season, but no where near as much as May 2004. We had more trophy Northern Pike caught and released in 2005 than almost any other year. Our moose hunts were 100% successful.
In September the Sask Power Corporation started construction on a new power line from the Island Falls dam to Pelican Narrows. The new line runs the same route as the previous line but is much larger. We have had the crew staying here at Slim's since September.
We wish all the best to our guests and friends for 2006. Fishing season opens May 20th.
